Phu My, Vietnam

Since we have an extra day in port, we took the shuttle bus into the town of Phu My. It was a very interesting trip, as we got exposed to modern life in Vietnam. The city wasn't particularly pretty or historic, but we got a good flavour of life here in 2017.  It was quite modern in terms of Western conveniences. We are off to Ho Chi Mihn City tomorrow on an all day tour of the sites.

We docked in an industrial port

Everyone seems to have a motor bike and a smart phone

Most people riding bikes wore face masks

The communist influence is ever present.
