Raffles Hotel

We popped into the famous Raffles Hotel, which was just across the street from our hotel, to have a Singapore Sling in the famous Long Bar.  The hotel is over 125 years old and is named after Sir Edmond Raffles, the founding father of Singapore.  It was like stepping back into British colonial times.  The sling was delicious and made from the original recipe (which they handed out). However, the cost was shocking when we got our bill - $36 per drink. Thank goodness the experience was priceless.

Priceless (but not cheap)

The paddle fans are the original design and still work
